The paintings are called West London Stations Of The Cross. In remarkable detail they show everyday contemporary scenes of the trial, sentencing, public journey and execution in the Easter story. ABOUT THE ARTIST – The artist, Mark Cazalet said, “I felt it was essential to enact the drama within a walking radius of my Ladbroke Grove home.” London-based Mark attended Chelsea and Falmouth Colleges of Art before being awarded scholarships in Paris and at MS University Baroda, West India. His large-scale glass and painted works for many ecclesiastical settings include Worcester, Manchester, and Chelmsford Cathedrals. The West London Stations of the Cross were painted in 1998 and 1999 for a special exhibition in the Diocese of Bury St Edmonds in Lent 2000.
