Help bring Easter to life for communities around Hay-on-Wye, Talgarth and Crickhowell
18th March 2025
Here’s an opportunity for you to help with taking out the Easter story to communities around Hay-on-Wye, Talgarth and Crickhowell over the next few weeks. We’re hoping to take modern paintings of the trial, crucifixion, death and resurrection of Jesus depicted as scenes within contemporary London and place them in cafes, shops and pubs across the region. It will help bring to life the story of Easter.
After being dispayed across the region in pubs, shops and cafes for a few weeks the paintings, by contempoarary artist Mark Cazalalet, will come together for the Easter weekend to be seen together in Llangors.
The small project , called Perspectives on The Passion, is the initiative of the Black Mountains Ministry Area, St Catwgs Ministry Area and The New Library in Llantwit Major. If you’d like to be involved for just a few hours helping to find places to hang the paintings and connecting with communities please contact Rev Anna Bessant 07747 336680 or Rich Parry 07974 39 7771 to chat and take part.
